Awesome Cloud Luna by ErindorStryker Awesome Cloud Luna by ErindorStryker
Done in Inkscape, built off of a sketch of Rainbow Dash by Lauren Faust for the pitch bible.

Proof Luna is best pony.

Also I started this before Luna appeared in episode 4, so her hair's still in the old style. EDIT: Besides the fact that her old hair is better anyway.

Mind if I add this to the library at sscs6000.com? You'll be credited, of course.

What, the pose? It's built off of one of Lauren Faust's in the pitch bible, so I can't tell you no. And actually I think it'd be pretty cool to see somebody else's take on my idea. If you're talking about using the Inkscape file I posted below to do it, that's totally fine too. Just let me see the results, yeah? Sorry about the late response, I haven't been checking dA as much of late.

Yeah totally. No offense to the creators, but it's seriously THE only thing I haven't liked about the show thus far.

First of all she looks so snugly it's painful.

Secondly, I once had a dream that I got a chance to lay on a MLP brand cloud. No words describe just how comfortable it was. It made me want to set fire to my memory foam mattress in shame.

Maybe that's why RD likes to take naps all the time?

Anywho, very cute pic!

Hey, thanks. And I can say I had similar feelings while creating it. My goodness we need something comparable to clouds in this world.

Hey, thanks. Looking at your stuff, what do you use to color? Because I have a bunch of lineart stuff on paper that I'd like to put up here, but it's such a pain to use Inkscape for stuff like that?

I don't know what is Inkscape is actually, I use Photoshop (there is pen tool that can do vectors) Or you can try Gimp cos it's free software. I never got a hang of it though but you can do pretty much the same thing with it.

Yeah, I'll try getting it up by the end of today. Be warned, however, that it's a cluster**** of layering nightmares.

Yeah oh my goodness.

I'm still figuring out the intelligent way to go about vectoring.

However, it should be good for resizing to any size you desire, assuming you select every piece with CTRL + A first.

I usually just go File > Export bitmap... and change the export resolution there. Also, I don't know if it'll help, but I usually try to use as few paths as possible in my vectors. Keeping them as simple as possible like that and organizing everything into layers might help.

I should consider using that Inkscape program I keep hearing about some time.

It has a bit of a learning curve, but after you figure out what you're doing it's quite simple, for such high quality results!

Oh, yes. I can't stress the "simple" part enough. Something like 98% of what I do in Inkscape is with two simple tools (the pen tool, and the path edit tool).
